Rethinking Food
We’re Lindsey, Doug, and our kids—a family of first-generation farmers with a dream that’s as big as the Colorado sky. Our journey began with a shared passion for buying our own land and a desire to create something meaningful, something that would not only nourish our family but also contribute to a healthier planet. We knew from the start that we wanted to do things differently, to step away from industrialized farming and instead embrace practices that honor and heal the earth. Our vision was clear: to build a farm that reflects our commitment to permaculture, regenerative farming, and sustainability.
Finding the right land for our dream wasn’t easy. We searched for a place that felt like home, a place where we could put down roots—both literally and figuratively. We looked across Colorado, visiting countless properties, but nothing quite matched the vision we had in our hearts. Just when we started to wonder if we’d ever find the perfect spot, we stumbled upon a piece of land that had not been farmed on for over 40 years. It was as if the land had been waiting for us, patiently healing itself from decades of industrial farming.
This land was different. It was wild and raw, with native grasses and nitrogen-rich plants flourishing across the fields. The soil was alive, working tirelessly to recover from years of depletion. We could see the potential and a whole lot of work that needs to be done. Standing there, we knew we had found our land. It was a place where our dreams could take root and grow, where we could teach our kids the true meaning of hard work, respect for nature, and the joy that comes from getting your hands dirty. With the promise of what could be if we nurtured it with that care it deserves we bought 80+ acres.
Our journey didn’t end with finding the land; it was just the beginning. We set to work, learning as we go each day, and pouring our hearts into every aspect of building our farm. We’ve embraced permaculture ecosystems, earthworks, and regenerative farming practices that not only restore the land but also create a thriving environment for our crops. Sustainability is at the core of everything we do, from using recycled materials to repurposing what we can.
Our farm is more than just a place to grow food; it’s a living testament to our belief that we can rethink how food is produced and consumed.

Meet Our Farmers
Lindsey “Mama”
She weaves her magic into every inch of the land. As our Farm Designer, she crafts the perfect balance of nature and nurture, while stepping up as the Grower Extraordinaire ensuring that our crops are thriving and delicious. With the title of Harvest Maestro, she orchestrates the seasonal symphony of picking and preserving, turning each harvest into a celebration of nature’s bounty. Her passion and expertise make our farm not just a place of work, but a vibrant, living masterpiece!
Douglas “Papa”
The genius behind our farm’s ingenuity and innovation! As our Farm Innovation Engineer, he’s the mastermind who turns creative ideas into practical solutions, while his role as Master Architect and Builder brings every project to life with precision and flair. Simply put, our farm wouldn’t be what it is without him—his expertise and vision are the backbone of everything we build and grow. With Papa at the helm, every structure and system is a testament to his dedication and skill, making our farm a truly exceptional place!
The Chicken Whisperer
Meet the farm’s feathered friend expert who keeps our clucking crew happy and content. With a touch of magic and a whole lot of love, she brings joy to every chicken, duck and quail ensuring they’re well cared for. And as our Future Grower in Training, she’s learning the ropes of farming with Mama, while nurturing our flock, blending her passion for animals with a budding interest in all things plant-related!
Mini Builder
Meet the boy with a love for tools and a natural knack for construction. With his passion for mechanics in training and a flair for developing innovative skills he’s learning from Papa, he turns every day on the farm into an adventure of creativity and craftsmanship. Whether he’s tackling a new mini project or fine-tuning his latest invention, he’s always adding a touch of brilliance to our farm!
